When she goes and sees Mrs. Cadbury at the orphage with Mrs. hammond, Mrs. Hammond states that Anne was 11 in March, and it is only May. Comments: I would like to make a comment on #47 in your bloopers. I dont know who the girl is that sent it in but she is wrong...she says:
Major timing problem: Near the beginning, Mrs. Hammond says that Anne's birthday is in March. The next time mark happens at the Christmas ball in Carmody in December. Diana says, "Three more years and I'll wear my hair up like Alice Bell...I'm going to wait until I'm eighteen." This establishes at that time, Anne and Diana are fifteen years old. That next March, Anne would turn sixteen. Anne is rescued by Gilbert and they talk about that same Christmas ball. He says, "Anne, that was over a year ago," which means that Anne would be nearing or already seventeen. It took one full year to get the Queens teaching certificate. That means that Anne would be eighteen by the end of the term. But at the end, Anne tells Marilla, "I'm sixteen years old and just as stubborn as you are." How could she still be sixteen? In the beginning Anne is 13. She then goes through one full year of school. This would make her 14. That Christmas she goes to the ball making the time lapse 1 1/2 year (she will then be 14 1/2). Just because DIana says that she will wear her hair like that in 3 years doesnt mean that Anne is also 15. They then finish their second school year together. Anne is now 15. She applies for Queens and gets in. She does her teaching career in 1 year. This would make her 16 when Gilbert gives up his Avonlea school contract for her. So...the movie is therefore correct! Anne is 13 in the beginning and in the end she is nearing that age of 16 and 1/2. Im sorry if I have hurt anyones feelings by this but i am just helping u out with your site. Thanks! (01/17/2002)

She kept renewing the books and I decided I had to listen to them just to see why she kept renewing them. Now I see why. She is a very kindered spirit. I have all three movies. I also taped the movies onto cassette tapes. We have our tv, vcr, and stereo all hooked up together. I enjoy listening to them where ever I go. This is by far the best, most informing and well-organised website on the 'Anne Of Green Gables' series. administer the strap to Jen Pringle, wasen't the more real and traditional way
was to use a real strap(not a ruler) on her rear end(not her hand)?
