Though I was disappointed that the movie didn't follow the books, It was still a tear jerker. I've been trying to down load the missing wedding night scene repeatedly but for some reason I can't. What Happened? And Why was it cut out? (06/16/2002)

One night, I switching the channels and there was Anne 3. I had no idea that there was a new version of Ann of Green Gables. I enjoyed every moment of it. I hope there will be other video of Anne of Green Gables. It surprises me that I never attempt to look at other movies Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie did in their lifetime. Congratuation on a job well done. (06/10/2002)

I was so upset I had to turn it off. As it was shown over two nights I then turned it on towards the end as I had to ensure that Anne at least ended up with Gilbert. I don't know how Megan and Jonathan can live with themselves for actually participating in destroyed our beloved Anne. (06/07/2002)

I love all three movies. At first I was surprised, but after watching the movie and the ending brought tears to my eyes as did all the Anne movies. Just to see the little boy waiting for her the same place she waited for Mathew was wonderful. I could watch these shows everyday. I have all 3 movies and enjoy sitting down and watching them the whole day. Thanks for your site, it is great, I have enjoyed seeing it. Keep up the great work. Joyce (06/04/2002)

Everytime Anne of Green Gables 1 and 2 were on Tv I was sure to catch it. I never knew that there was a third movie, and when I saw it come on, I just had to watch it. Sure it was a nice movie that kept my attention, but it just wasn't an Anne movie. She wasn't the usual head in the clouds, charming, kindred spirit always getting into scraps. And the time setting was all off. Gilbert stayed home at war time, it as two of her sons who went to war. Anne and Gilbert would have been in their 40's or 50's when the war broke out. Nothing that happened in the movie was written in the books. The movie had a gripping plot, but it didn't live up to the first two movies at all. (05/28/2002)

I didn't like the new Anne of Green Gables, Continuing Story because it was very much unlike the book. Anne never lives with Fred Wright and Dianna and Fred never have such quarrels. I would have enjoyed it better if it had been more like the book. (05/23/2002)

I thought the movie was excellent, the original being one of my favourite childhood movies, it was great to see my old friends again, especially Gilbert!!!. (05/19/2002)

I was sooo happy when they finally got this one out, finally I got to see what happened AFTER the bridge kiss! My initial reaction was, Ohmigod, how romantic! But now I'm disappointed. It was well done and everything, but somehow the same charm wasn't there. Anne was too serious and not daydreamy and funny anymore, and it was too morose and depressing...and what was with the wedding?! It's the wedding everybody's been holding out for since the first movie! If it's meant to be bittersweet, they did a good job of that. It was just...blah and depressing. It was a good movie but it was too un-Annelike. Gil was still gorgeous but a bit too soppy, not as funny and doesn't tease her enough (come on, that was so funny in the other ones!) I'm glad they got another one out, but I'm a bit disappointed and if they don't do an Anne 4...well, I think I'll just sit down and cry. Excuse me. (05/17/2002)
