I thought that this movie was very good but, I didn't like how that movie didn't follow the books. I think that there was too much war time in the movie and not enought time for Gilbert and anne to be together on the screen. I especially liked the part when Gil and Anne saw each other for the first time in Germany. This part brought tears to my eyes. I wish that the movie would have shown Anne and Gil having kids together and living in Green Gables. There needs to be a 4th movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! to extend the wonderful Anne series. (01/24/2002)

I love the Anne movies...but this 3rd installment was somewhat disappointing. Like everyone else, it's wonderful to see Anne and the rest of the cast, but Anne just wasn't the same...she's lost her poetic touch. The magic just wasn't there...as it were in the first two installments. And, yes, Gilbert still looks good regardless..hehe. But, yeah, somewhat disappointed in Anne3. I own this 3rd installment too, but I still prefer watching the first two installments. They were more romantic, more lively, more magical...Anne fans should know what I mean. :) (01/24/2002)

It was great to see Anne and Gilbert and all the rest back, The the story was disapionting there was none of the magical language and beautiful day to day life stories entwined in the over all drama as in the other two movies. This one is made by holiwood threw and threw. And didn't do justice to Anne kingdom of kindred spirits, The war made it more drumatic than nesassary and not as heart warming as the rest. Anne was not like she was before in the other two movies. I do like the story line altough it is very different from the books. Jonathan Crombie and Megan Follows performed very well!!!

Hey, Kelsey, Gilbert Blythe is SOOOO HOOOT! I kind of beleive that the 3 movie was horrible but good too. I read somewhere that L.M. Montgomery was soo mad when they filmed Anne of Greeen Gables and put an American flag in the background(silent movie) If she were alive today, I think she would be mad all over again. Anne seems so different and so common and not at all how she was displayed in those wonderful books. Sullivan could have made a movie from the books. The movie was o.k., but so against what the book Anne's morals would be. (i.e. walks into Jack's room, when he's wearing a dres bath robe. (01/21/2002)

I overly enjoyed Anne 3. I did expect and hope for a movie that followed the books. But Sullivan did very well. I would love an Anne 4, but I see it's not likely. I'll accept any movie that Sullivan does, cause I've seen his previous work, and it's worthwhile, even if not accurate. (01/19/2002)

Anne 3 is an awesome movie. When I was through reading the books I was kind of sad because it just ended, but with Anne 3, it's like a whole new story. Regardless from the facts that it is really different from the books, it is wonderfully romantic! I watch Anne of Green Gables 1, 2, and 3, ALL the time. I'm also getting all my friends hooked. GILBERT BLYTHE IS HOT!!!!!! Love, Kelsey (and Tiffany) (01/18/2002)

I was so excited to hear that this movie was coming and made it a point to see it. After about an hour, I turned it off, and I wish I hadn't seen it to begin with. I've read the entire series several times at different points in my life and have been a huge fan all along. The second movie took enough liberties; I never expected the third one would be nothing but a blatant exploitation of the good name this author and her storied have earned in the hearts of millions of readers (and viewers). The characters shared only the names of their literary counterparts, and the storyline!!!I just don't understand the need to change what was already a captivating and satisfying story in Anne of the Island, or Anne's House of Dreams, or any of the following books. I felt this was just a waste of well cast actors and a loyal following. How I would have loved to see Patty's Place, or the house of dreams! And why isn't the story of Leslie Moore exciting enough for a movie? It's bad enough that "the sequel" tried to condense three books into one movie and change the plot; to me, Anne of the Island is just a great movie waiting to happen? Why change it? But this new movie...it wasn't based on any book! I feel ripped off. (01/16/2002)

Hey. I read all 8 Anne books before i saw this movie. After reading them, and seeing the first two movies, i really adored Gilbert. I was so happy when they got together.Anyway, i was ready to see them settle down and have kids, (the kids are so funny in the books, and they went to war. In the books three of her sons go to war. But not Gilbert. so i watched them and was annoyed to see Diana so unhappy in her marriage. LM Montgomery would be shocked. Then i saw Cameron Daddo on it, ( I am an Aussie so have seen him in other shows), and i thought "Hurray, an improvement" And he was good. BUT, Anne going into his room while he was in his dressing gown. HELLO! Again the authour would be shocked. Another thing, Gilbert's new, gelled haircut. Yuck. I loved his old curls. They were so sweet. although i do like Dominic, he was cute. But i have a terrible confession. at the end of the movie,(Don't read on if you haven't seen it) when Jack died, i wished that Gilbert had died instead so that he, Anne, and Dominic could have been a family. I know,I know. IT's awful. I had to watch both movies again, and rewind and fast forward onto all of Gilbert's best moments, to make myself like him again. So to the producers, how dare you make me fear Gilbert. HAd it not been for baby Dominic, gorgeous Jack, a brief encounter with the hilarious Josie Pye, those funny girls Anne meets on the train, and cool war romance, I would have given this movie a one out of five. Dear Poducers, GO BACK TO THE BOOKS!! (01/16/2002)

Warning!!!!If you haven't seen Anne 3 then DON'T WATCH IT! I fell in love with Anne and Gilbert after watching the first two films and after racing to the video shop to hire out The Continuing Story as soon as I found out there was one. I was bitterely, bitterely disappointed. I was in the 'depth of despair' as Anne would say. I forced myself to watch the previous two films again afterwards in order to eliminate Anne 3 from my imagination. I think it was down right arrogant of Kevin Sullivan to think that he could recreate the magic of Anne without sticking to the wonderful dialogue and storyline of her creator (Montgomery). 'Anne' is about Avon-lea and the idiosyncrises of her character and these were created by an amazing writer who was completely given the flick in the creation on Anne 3. I'm amazed Megan Follows agreed to do it. I bet she regrets it now. (01/16/2002)
