i loved the third installment of the Anne of Green Gables story. It was wonderful to see how Anne and Gilbert and grown into such attractive people and such terrific actors. I admit the third story was a bit darker than the other two, but i think the tone was justified by the fact war was a part of the picture. I think and and Gilbert needed to be a bit more seriou for this movie and I know some fans may have found that hard to take, given the lighthearted, childlike quality of the previous movies. I loves all three and It is my solemn wish to see yet another story featuring my dear Anne and her beloved Gilbert. (08/29/2001)

I have read all 8 books from L.M.Montgomery, and though that the third movie was ridiculous. According to the stories, by the time the war was a big thing, Anne had already had multiple children, and her sons were the ones going off to war. In fact, if they really wanted to include the war effort, why not do a movie about Rilla of Ingleside, which was probably my third favorite of the eight, and by doing that, since most fans loved the idea of Anne as a young girl rather than an adult, they could see her daughter at that beloved age, and Anne as a mother. The story is just as good if not better. AND, more importantly, to do another Anne movie, they could continue going with the books, rather than having to reinvent the story as they now need to do! I agree with whoever said it, LMM must be turning over in her grave. (08/28/2001)

I thaught that it was really good and it was very sad in some parts but really happy in others, I think they should make another maybe more like the books (08/28/2001)

As one who has never actually read the books, I don't know if my opinion matters too much, but I loved Anne 3. It was such a good movie my father actually watched it with me and he never watches anything I watch and he sat through the whole movie with me and that made me happy because I know he truly liked it. Oh and especially that scene where Jack's son sees her at the end and smiles and runs to her, although it didn't really make too much sense for him to recognize her it was still really cute. And I thought Megan Follows looked really good in the "Continuing Story" and so with Jonathan Crombie. Whenever they're together, it's so believable and Unbelievable! to me. I'm a sucker for Happy Endings *^_^* But my absolute favorite is Anne 2!!! (08/28/2001)

When I first heard there would be an Anne 3, I was immediately excited and anxious. I couldn't wait to finally see it. But when I did, I was a little disappointed. After all these years, I thought that this movie would be more focused on the Anne's and Gilbert's life as a couple. The Anne 3 seemed a little too confusing and the story spread thin. The ending on Anne 2 so beautifully romantic and full of expectations. Fans have waited for years to see what happened with Anne and Gil, to see what have their lives have changed. I'm glad that this movie was made because I love Anne so much but another movie should be made that we honor the endless love story between Anne and Gil and their family. (08/28/2001)

I loved the movie, however I thought the movie was made a few years too late. I thought that Gilbert and Anne looked more in the 30's than in there 20's. I thought Cameron Daddo did a pretty good job as Jack Garrison. Jonathan Crombie looked handsome in the movie. Megan Follows looked great. I hope they come out with an Anne 4 in the next year or next two or three years instead of waiting for ten years! It would be better if they had a resemblance to the books. (08/28/2001)

I must say that I was incredibly dissapointed in the third installment of the Anne movies, as it bore NO resemblance to the books. I am sure L.M. Montgomery rolled over in her grave. The first two movies were so well done, and really captured the essence of the books. The third one was horrible. (08/27/2001)

Ok Well I loved the movie...but it didn't follow the story line which i wasn't too happy about. For future refernce, dont't screw with the actual story line of a book..it ruins everything and I really hate that!!! (08/26/2001)

It was great once again Megan Follows ( who is my compleate and total idle) outdid herself, but it was sooooooo sad.
They should make a sequil with captin jim and leslie and with their wedding. And they should have pattys Place too and showed Gills other girlfriend , i think it was Christina and Gong and maggong and in anne of avenly they should have shown athrine Brooks at the bonfire. (08/26/2001)

I didn't actually SEE the movie yet, but judging from what I've read of what other people say, I think they should totally wipe out Anne3, and try again, making another one, but closer to the books. They can do the WWI thing later on, if they want to, like, in Anne5 or something like that. I loved the first two, (I am a sucker for those type of movies,) but I hope to see the third and make my own analysis, but I wish they would make one closer to the books. And what's with The Sequel? They should have had the entire thing with Anne, Charlie, and Gilbert going off to Redmond, with Patty's Placem and Priscilla, and Stella and Phil and Aunt Jimsie and the Sarah-cat and Joseph and RUSTY especially. And Roy Gardener. I suppose they tried to do that with the Jack fellow in Anne3, but that's a bit too late, and he's not really like Roy at all. They just put him in so Gil could have a little competition, he wasn't really close to actually getting Anne to choose him, like Roy was. Morgan Harris was a LITTLE bit of a rival in # 2, but not that much. By the way, did any one else, (or was it just me,) notice that he looked ok when he wasn't smiling, but as soon as he smiled, (ESPECIALLY when he grinned) he looked about 60 instead of mid-forties? And even if he is in his mid-forties there, it is completely improper that he should be trying to get Anne, (an 18 year old girl) to marry him. He could be her father. I will write more on this later. (08/25/2001)
