Anne 3 Review Book

As a movie about life in World War One, Anne 3 was very good. It was also wonderful, simply to see some of the same characters again. I felt, however, it was dissapointing that there were not more characters from earier movies, and that the movie was not based more closely on the novels. It was destined to be different, however, as the second Anne movie already began to sway from the books. All in all, however, I found it to be a highly enjoyable flick with superb acting, and occasional moments of Anne-ish fun. (12/24/00)

I liked is the part where she finds Jack on the train and totaly loaths and remembers him from her past, "putting the name Jack Garrison to good use?" But I didn't like the way they looked so old (12/16/00)

I have to say that I was kind of disappointed also that The Continuing Story didn't follow the same light-hearted, feel-good ways of the first two. The movie itself was good, but kind of a let-down when you're expecting something totally different. I did love the fact that Anne and Gil finally tied the knot after so many years. Plus I loved Dominique and how Sullivan ended the movie the same way the whole Anne "episode" began--another orphan on that same bench at the Avonlea train station. I do hope that Sullivan decides to make a fourth and that he'll go back to the same fun-filled adventures that we all love and that made Anne what she is today. (12/14/00)

I was somewhat disappointed with Anne 3. Even though it was great to get most of the original actors back, it just didn't have the magic of the first two. I really felt that the story should have been about Gil and Anne getting married and their adventures on PEI. Just having them raising a family would be an adventure in itself! The beginning was of the movie was good, but I was disappointed when most of it took place overseas. Even though there are rumors that this was the last installment, I sincerely hope that Kevin Sullivan decides to make a fourth. (12/13/00)

I was a little disappointed, too... it wasn't quite the same as Anne1 or Anne2... but it was all right... I loved to see Anne and Gil married at last!!! (12/11/00)
