I have not seen Anne 3 but I think everyone is being very critical about it. I think we should appreciate the good work Kevin Sullivan has done, regardless of its problems. It WAS a lot of work, you know! Critical remarks never helped anyone, so please make an effort to not be like that.. try to look at the good side of it! And if anyone is able to send me a copy of Anne 3 before July, please reply to my e-mail address. I am willing to pay for everything involved. And SUPERB JOB, Kevin sullivan!!!

ive been a fan of anne since i was a little girl and all i wanted to see was anne and gil get married. i hoped it would happen in anne3 but i was disapointed by the turning of the wedding..:( But i am really happy that the same cast returned, at least it followed anne 1 &2 :)Anne3 wasnt what i expected to see, but i know sullivan had no choice of filming it in ww1..sniff sniff...anyways, i can still watch the first 2 movies, it still makes me sentimental when i see it!!:D enjoy anne3 for those who will see it...hope u will like it better than i did!
I was disappointed with it in that the characters had changed so much from the sequel. They didn't seem to connect very well and the story line went too fast. They should have made at least another hour longer to explain the story in greater detail. It did answer the unanswered questions created by the sequel and it was great to finally see Anne and Gil marry.
I know this is for reviews, but I'm hoping someone who can help me will see this. I'm in the US, and I'm looking for a copy of Anne III on tape. If anyone has one, and is willing to send me a copy, I'd be very very appreciative. I can pay for the cost of shipping and handling and the tapes, if necessary.
I did watch all the short video clips from the official site, and it looks amazing, even though it strays from L.M. Montgomery's original books so much. I'll just be glad to see Anne and Gilbert together again.

Living in the US, I was lucky to see Anne3 on my cable system. However, after all the anticipation, I was disappointed in the film. At the end of the 2nd movie when Anne and Gil finally get together, we are only rewarded with a hug and a kiss. Kevin Sullivan said he felt that the 2nd movie left the storyline hanging, which I agree, but why not show more of Anne and Gil and their relationship. Anne3 picks up with both of them practically separated for 5 years and when they finally get together we get a 2 second wedding and Gil is off to war. Very unsatisfying for this hopeless romantic. Since it is doubtful there will be an Anne4, I think Kevin Sullivan did a disservice to all of us loyal fans.

I thought that the third Anne movie was tremendous! I'll admit that the characters had a quite a change in personality, but I felt that that happened in the books too, once Anne and Gil got married. The story was so incredibly exciting, but then I adore war stories, especially when romance is entwined into the plot. I don't think I could have been more satisfied. I guess I would like the movie even if it had been hopelessly pathetic and awful in every aspect. I'd only been waiting for half of my life to see this movie. I wish with all my heart there could be an Anne 4, though I suppose it is very unlikely. I thought that the plots in this movie were wonderfully confusing. I love plots that confuse me. And the acting was fantabulous. The part where Anne found Gil was incredibly romantic. And the part where they shot Jack! That was perfect! It would be unbearable if he had lived. One stupid thing in that part was that when he was shot, Anne called Gil in and then he went to find help. Gil would be the help I would want, if a doctor couldn't help him who could? I suppose this is getting to long to be an opinion. I absolutely adore the movie and have seen it a zillion times, just in the past two weeks since it's been on TV.

Let me just state up-front the reason why I gave this film five stars: Megan and Jonathan. I thought they were truly wonderful together. Aside from that, I didn't really like the movie. I think the premise was great, but the execution left a lot lacking. I think many of the problems were caused by technical problems--bad editing and a poor script. Heck, I think I could've written a better script for Anne3.
In this movie, Anne was NOT the same Anne. We only got to see a little of the typical Anne brashness a few times in the movie, like when she was going to attack the woman who let Green Gables go to the dogs and Diana had to hold her back, or when she slapped Jack Garrison. Also, she wasn't nearly as "romantic" in the movie, which blows my mind because she was with Gilbert and had all the more reason to be!! The only time I remember thinking, "That's Anne" was when she said, "Its unbearable to have insignificance ingrained into your very soul." We needed more of those moments to carry the film. Megan did an extraordinary job as usual, though. She deserves all of our praises. Also, I appreciate the idea that the war was her medium for finally growing up, but I don't want to see a "grown up" Anne Shirley! In the books, somehow she always retains something from her previous existence, and that was definitely lost in the movie.
i thought that the countinuing story did not show the rest of the movies jutice. I was expecting more of anne and giberts life to gether, and I was disapointed

For all of you who are disappointed in Anne 3 because it deviates from the Montgomery series, I have one piece of advice for you: Go to your local library and get your enjoyment from the books! For the rest of us who progressive enough to not shun creative liscence and where pleased to get a fresh new perspective: BRAVO SULLIVAN!!
